Blustery win over Ballinasloe
CIYMS progressed to the Quarter Finals of the All Ireland Junior Cup on Saturday with a 37-10 victory over Connacht visitors Ballinasloe at a blustery Belmont.
The home side made the most of a strong wind and Ballinasloe indiscipline in the first half to stretch to a comfortable 27-3 halftime lead. The second half was marked by a number of stoppages and head injuries, with two players from each side being withdrawn. This was no reflection on the game which was played in good spirits throughout which extended to the post-match meal.
Ballinasloe rounded off the scoring with a try at the death to leave the score at 37-10. Some pictures and headlines below from the Belfast Telegraph and Newsletter.
