JUNIOR CUP PREVIEW – CIYMS VS DROMORE

JUNIOR CUP PREVIEW – CIYMS VS DROMORE

Dromore head for Belmont on Saturday for an early rematch of our opening day league clash of only a few weeks ago. Since then CI have been building better fitness levels and scoring tries particularly in the second half of matches . The Instonians game last week was a lot closer than some observers expected and we were unlucky not to take a couple of bonus points from it with lively running from the backline and a couple of very solid debuts in the pack. We hope to see another good game – and to progress to the next round.

Elsewhere the draw threw up some tasty encounters – last week’s visitors Instonians entertain an inform Ballymoney side who will challenge this year in Championship 2, holders Grosvenor have a long trek to Clogher Valley, and both Ballyclare and Portadown will look to progress at home to Malone 2s and Larne. Randalstown face Armagh 2s at home, and Carrick entertain Omagh 2s. By 4.00pm on Saturday we’ll know a lot more about where the Cup may be heading.

The in form 3s head for the Dee hoping to repeat their emphatic win against Civil Service last week. Good luck to Richard and the lads.
