09 Jan CIYMS VS INSTONIANS PREVIEW
Another big weekend of Championship One Rugby this week.
CI head to Instonians who have had a mixed season since their visit to Belmont on 28th September. That game was very much one of two halves with a strong CI comeback in the second half, but ultimately the Shaws Bridge side prevailed. They now sit mid table but some way back from the top 4 at this stage and will be keen to close that gap. CI have come close against strong opposition in recent weeks and should approach this fixture with a positive mindset, knowing the rugby they are capable of.
Elsewhere Ballyclare v Dromore will have a big bearing on who lifts the title with the Barban Hill men keen to avenge their only league defeat by Ballyclare early in the season. A close encounter is likely here. Clogher Valley have thrived this year after bouncing straight back from Championship 2 and will be a handful for Cooke who still need points to stay clear of the bottom 2. Enniskillen head to Grosvenor fresh from their Junior Cup triumph in midweek and will be fancied to take the points to maintain their top 4 position. Bottom placed Portadown face Carrick at Chambers Park still seeking that vital first win -another hard fought scrap in store there.
